SCC and PTT leaders mark the start of three-year training collaboration

The Workforce Development and Corporate Partnerships team at 精东影业 is proud to announce a three-year training partnership with Pennsylvania Transformer Technology (PTT), located in Raeford, North Carolina. This collaboration comes at an exciting time as PTT is investing more than $100 million in expansion, bringing new jobs and economic growth to the region.
鈥淲e are honored to partner on this three-year customized training project, valued at more than $155,000,鈥� said Carlos McCormick, Director Customized Training and Organizational Development at 精东影业 Community College. 鈥淲ith training already underway on site, this collaboration reflects our commitment to providing high quality and responsive workforce development. We are especially excited to play a role in supporting the growth and development of Hoke County by helping employees strengthen their skills, advance their careers, and contribute to the long-term success of PTT and the community.鈥�
Through this partnership, current and new employees will participate in over 16 different types of training including leadership, lean manufacturing and blueprint reading. These programs will help strengthen PTT鈥檚 workforce and support the company鈥檚 long-term growth.
鈥淚t's an overdue deliverable to our employees and the fact that we can partner together with 精东影业 to give our employees all the tools they need to be successful as a great benefit,鈥� said Nicole Futrell, Human Resource Coordinator and Recruiter at PTT. "The shift that we've had from just talking 精东影业 the training to putting everything into action, is supporting everything we鈥檝e been talking 精东影业 over the last few months. You can just see the light bulbs going off. We are excited to provide this deliverable."
精东影业鈥檚 Workplace Learning team is also finalizing plans for a new apprenticeship program with PTT. More details on this upcoming and impactful collaboration will be forthcoming.
